Make-A-Wish® Rio Grande Valley

Since its inception in 1997, Make-A-Wish Rio Grande Valley has granted over 1,485 wishes to local children with critical illnesses from Hidalgo, Willacy, Star, Brooks, and Kenedy Counties. The proceeds from your donation stay local and help benefit children in your area.

Since 1987, Make-A-Wish Greater Virginia has granted the wishes of over 4,000 children throughout Virginia, and currently have over 500 volunteers helping to share the power of a wish®

Make-A-Wish® Suffolk County

Since its inception in 1983, Make-A-Wish Suffolk County has granted over 2,400 wishes to local children. In the past year alone, the chapter has granted 121 wishes. Your car donations allow the Suffolk County chapter to grant the very special wishes of children such as: Jordan, age 6, who wished to go to Disney with his family; Benjamin, age 9, who wished to meet WWE Wrestlers; Caitlin, age 14, who wished to visit the set of Harry Potter in the U.K.; James, age 18, who wished to receive his own DJ equipment!

Make-A-Wish® Central New York

Make-A-Wish Central New York was founded in 1985, has approximately 300 volunteers, and has granted more than 1,400 wishes. Make-A-Wish Central New York serves these 15 counties: Broome, Cayuga, Chenango, Cortland, Herkimer, Jefferson, Lewis, Madison, Oneida, Onondaga, Otsego, Oswego, St. Lawrence, Tioga & Tompkins.

Make-A-Wish® Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana

The Texas Gulf Coast & Louisiana chapter was founded in 1984. The chapter covers 47 counties and 64 parishes with a seven and a half person staff and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Since the chapter’s inception in 1984, they have granted more than 6,100 wishes.

Founded in 1985, Make-A-Wish® Tri-Counties has granted the wishes of more than 1,400 local children in Ventura, Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties on the central coast of California.

Make-A-Wish Alaska and Washington grants the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. Last year alone, they granted over 300 wishes to children throughout Alaska and Washington, and have granted more than 5,400 wishes since 1986!

The Wisconsin chapter was founded in 1984 and more than 6,500 families statewide can attest to the power of a wish. The chapter’s two Regional offices in Appleton and Madison allow us to better serve children and their families across the state of Wisconsin. Nearly 80% of every dollar raised goes directly towards wish granting.

Make-A-Wish® Greater Pennsylvania & West Virginia

Make-A-Wish Greater Pennsylvania and West Virginia was founded in May 1983 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Bryan was a seven-year-old cancer patient who wanted to visit his favorite uncle in Texas for one of his famous piggy-back rides. Today, the chapter has granted more than 15,000 wishes. They were the first chapter in the world to fulfill more than 700 wishes in one year!

Make-A-Wish® Western New York

Make-A-Wish Western New York was founded in the summer of 1992 when a young girl wished to meet her favorite country singer, Reba McIntyre. Make-A-Wish® Western New York grants over 150 wishes a year to children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions. Make-A-Wish Western New York has more than 225 active volunteers.

Make-A-Wish Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada was founded in 1983. Since then, it has granted 5,000 wishes to children from Northeastern & Central California and Northern Nevada.

Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area was founded in 1984. In its first year, a total of 27 wishes were granted. Now one of the largest chapters nationwide, the Foundation has granted over 6,000 wishes and grants more than 340 wishes per year.

Make-A-Wish® Southern Florida

Make-A-Wish Southern Florida has grown from granting two wishes in 1983 to granting more than 500 wishes each year, which is a wish every 16 hours. The chapter serves children in the counties of Broward, Collier, Glades, Hendry, Highlands, Indian River, Lee, Martin, Miami-Dade, Monroe, Okeechobee, Palm Beach and St. Lucie counties, plus children of the US Virgin Islands.

Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada was founded in 1996, and currently serves the southern half of the state, encompassing the counties of Clark, Nye, Lincoln and Esmeralda. They have more than 100 active volunteers fulfilling their mission. Make-A-Wish Southern Nevada has granted more than 1,500 wishes to date.

Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley was founded in 1986, has granted more than 4,700 wishes, and currently has 200+ volunteers and welcomes other interested individuals.

Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish Oregon is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization registered in the states of Oregon and Washington. Make-A-Wish Oregon was the fifth chapter to form and started in 1983. It all began when Sam, who struggled with leukemia, wished to meet Erik Estrada from the hit television show. To date, more than 2,900 wishes have been granted for local children.

Make-A-Wish Missouri and Kansas is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that was formed in 1983. Their mission is to grant the wishes of Missouri and Kansas children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength, and joy. Founded in 1983, Make-A-Wish New Jersey has granted more than 7,400 wishes. Make-A-Wish® New Jersey granted over 400 wishes last year alone! Make-A-Wish New Jersey has more than 400 active volunteers throughout the state.

The New Mexico Chapter was founded in 1986 and granted its first wish in January 1987, to Donovan who wanted a bicycle. In the past 28 years Make-A-Wish New Mexico has granted more than 1,580 Wishes to New Mexico children!

Make-A-Wish Metro New York serves the five boroughs of New York City and Nassau County. Long Island began in 1983 and is headquartered in Lake Success with a field office in Manhattan. Make-A-Wish®Metro New York impacted the lives of 829 wish children and their families in fiscal year 2013. They grant a new wish every 10 hours.

Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana is headquartered in Columbus, OH and has six regional offices in Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, Toledo, Louisville, and Indianapolis. In their 35+ year history, they have proudly granted more than 17,000 wishes. Today, the Make-A-Wish Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana chapter is one of the largest of the 60 Make-A-Wish chapters in the country in both territory and wishes granted.

Founded by Dr. Jerry Clark, the Central and Western North Carolina chapter was chartered in 1985. The chapter was originally called the Charlotte Clark Chapter in honor Dr. Clarks’ first wife, whom he lost to cancer. The chapter covers the state from Burlington (Alamance County) through the 51 counties to the west, with offices in Asheville, Charlotte & Greensboro. The chapter has granted more than 3,000 wishes since its inception in 1985.

The Hawaii chapter was established in 1982 and has granted more than 800 wishes for local children. In concert with granting wishes for the keiki of Hawaii, they also assist other chapters to host more than 650 wish children annually, that choose to visit the Islands as their one true wish.

Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island fulfilled its very first wish in 1987: a family trip to York Beach for a little girl with Niemann-Pick Disease. Since then, the Foundation has served over 6,000 children in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
